How We Work
Chameleon Beauty Salon opened as a small studio in Montrose and grew, over more than a decade, into a full-service salon serving the Los Angeles foothills. The growth was never the point. What mattered was assembling a team where each person is genuinely specialized rather than passably good at everything, so a client with a color correction, a bride with a nine-person party, and someone worried about thinning hair can all be looked after properly in the same building.
Five Specialists, One Roof
Arpi Arakelian owns the salon and works the floor as a hair stylist and colorist. Diana is a licensed cosmetologist and permanent makeup artist who handles brow mapping and PMU. Shawn Koot Abrahamian is our trichologist, focused entirely on hair and scalp health and non-surgical restoration. Armine Agvanova is a licensed electrologist. Dr. Milena Iskandaryan is our facialist, working with red light therapy and microneedling. That range means we can tell you honestly when something is outside our lane, and when the person who should handle it is already here.
Consultation Comes First
Every service starts with a conversation, including the simple ones. We look at your hair's history, its current condition, your texture and density, and the routine you actually keep at home, then we tell you what is realistically achievable in one appointment and what may take two or three. Clients sometimes hear that a look they brought in will take a few visits to reach safely. We would rather say that up front than overpromise and compromise the hair getting there.
What We Do
Our menu covers hair coloring and correction, balayage and ombré, precision cuts and styling for women and men, hair extensions, keratin smoothing and bond repair, bridal and event hair, trichology and hair restoration, facials, and eyebrow tattooing. We also carry Huile Pure, our salon-exclusive all-natural hair recovery oil, which you will not find anywhere else.
The Neighborhood
We are on Montrose Avenue in the Montrose Shopping Park, which shapes how the salon feels. Regulars walk over from the farmers market and clients have been coming for years, which is why the atmosphere is closer to a neighborhood fixture than a chain. People travel to us from Montrose, La Crescenta, Glendale, La Cañada Flintridge, Burbank, Pasadena, Tujunga, and Sunland, most of them a fifteen-minute drive or less.
Come In
We are open Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 7 PM. Appointments are recommended for color, extensions, keratin, bridal, and trichology consultations, and walk-ins are welcome whenever the schedule allows.
